Skiathos Town is actually the centre of activities on the island. It has traditional style and nice streets to stroll around. In the evenings, it gets lively for its many bars.
Daily boat trips depart in summer from Skiathos Town to the exotic beach of Lalaria and the ruined Medieval Castle. This trip will be the peak of your Skiathos holidays.
Koukounaries is the most famous and cosmopolitan beach in Skiathos. Due to its large size, it has both organized and unorganized parts. In short walk from this beach is a small lake.
The Monastery of Panagia Evangelistria is located 5 km north of Skiathos Town, amidst an area of rich vegetation. The monastery was built in the early 19th century and it has great historical importance for the island, as it contributed to the Greek War of Independence.
The Castle of Skiathos is located on the northern side of the island, accessible by boat or through a track path.
Banana is among the most beautiful beaches in Greece, with soft golden sand and crystal waters. A small bay next to the main beach is used by naturists.
