From Athens & other European cities

Skiathos International Airport is located in the northeastern part of the island, just 2 kilometers from the Town, and receives flights from the Athens International Airport all year round!
The flight time from Athens is about 40 minutes.
The airport also receives seasonal flights from various cities around Europe.
Upon your arrival, it is a good idea to take a taxi, since the airport is around 2 kilometers from the town center.
There are always many taxis at the airport's entrance. Alternatively, you can reach your destination by catching a local bus.

From Volos, Evia, Thessaloniki & more

Ferries to Skiathos depart from the port of Volos in Thessaly and Mantoudi Village in northern Evia. During the summer months, there are also connections from Thessaloniki, while a local company also operates routes from the port of Agios Konstantinos. 
Notice that there are no direct routes from Athens.
In case you are traveling from Athens, you need to reach Volos or Evia by car or KTEL bus, and then take the ferry that will transfer you to your destination! You can find further information about the itineraries of KTEL buses on www.ktelattikis.gr.
Skiathos is also connected by ferry with Skopelos and Alonissos.

If there are no direct flights available, you can fly to Thessaloniki and take the ferry from there.

How can I travel there from Athens?

Athens is not connected by ferry to Skiathos. You can either fly directly from the International Airport of Athens or drive/take the bus to Mantoudi or Volos and catch the ferry from there.
Taking the ferry is more time-consuming, but it allows you to take your vehicle with you.

How can I travel there from Skopelos and Alonissos?

Skiathos Airport does not receive flights from other islands, so the only way to get there from Skopelos and Alonissos is by taking the ferry.
Please note that these are the only Aegean islands connected by ferry to Skiathos.
