To travel to Skopelos, you will need to take a ferry from Volos, Skiathos or Alonissos. Some ferry routes from the port of Evia are also available but only during the summer season. The nearest airport is located in Skiathos island.

Skopelos island is a wonderful island of the Sporades that stands out for its lush vegetation, its exotic beaches, and its picturesque villages.

HOW TO GET THERE & MOVE AROUND?
The only way to reach the island is by ferry. There are ferries from Volos, Agios Konstantinos, Evia but also from other islands of the Sporades (Skiathos and Alonissos). The closest international airport is on Skiathos island and you can get a ferry from there. Note also that the island has 2 ports: in main town and in the village of Glossa.

Skopelos Town is a picturesque place constructed amphitheatrically on the slopes of a hill. Surrounded by greenery, many hiking trails start from the town and lead to old monasteries.
Panormos is one of the most beautiful beaches in Skopelos. It has crystal waters and is surrounded by beautiful green nature. Part of this beach is organized.
The small church of Agios Ioannis Kastri is known today as the Mamma Mia church, after scenes of this famous Hollywood movie were shot there. It is located close to Glossa village.
Located on the southern side of Skopelos island, the bay of Stafylos has blue green waters and relaxing atmosphere. Few studios are found along the beach.
The Photographic Centre of Skopelos hosts exhibitions, lectures, seminars and workshops of photography.
The fortified monastery of Agia Varvara (Saint Barbara) is worth seeing for its beautiful frescoes dating from the 15th century. It is located in close distance to the capital.
This is a small secluded beach that doesn't get much popular. The shore has white pebbles.
This is a fine beach with white pebbles and crystal water. Part of this beach is organized with sunbeds and umbrellas.
