In the past, the sea cave at Papafragas, on the island of Milos, served as a pirate base. On a quiet street in the seaside town of Adamantas, on the island of Milos, I came across a simple home, fronted by this old, weathered door. Paint stripped, no doubt, from its close proximity to the salty sea, the metal hardware, so far, seemed to be holding up. But more importantly, the address, which appeared newly stenciled, lead me to believe that there is still plenty of life behind it.
