Location: Adamas

The church of Agia Triada (Holy Trinity) in Milos is located near the port, in the center of Adamas and its interior houses the Ecclesiastical Museum. It has been standing there for more than one thousand years and is believed to have been built before the Iconoclasm.

This picturesque and small whitewashed church has an austere facade and a distinctive design, extremely rare in religious architecture; no tiles, arches and a triple-naved basilica. Its architraves are decorated with traditional religious patterns.

The Ecclesiastical Museum inside the church hosts several holy icons that represent the traditional hagiography production of the island. Most of the exhibits come from the abandoned churches of Zephyria and include ecclesiastical items, rare jewels, censers and wooden lecterns from the 17th and 18th centuries as well as mosaics, while the oldest exhibit is a holy icon of the 14th century.
