Location: 12 km north west of Fira Description: Oia, pronounced "Ia", is the most famous of all villages of Santorini. It is world known for its quite life and the fantastic sunset. Obviously the most beautiful and picturesque village of Santorini.
Location: 8.5 km from the main port, Athinaios Description: Fira is the capital of Santorini and the main transport hub of the island. Although it gets very busy in summer, it still offers some of the greatest view to the volcano and the famous caldera of Santorini.
Location: 4.5 km south east of Fira Description: Pyrgos is a beautiful, traditional village with remarkable tourism development. It is built on the slopes of a hill and offers magnificent view.
Location: 5.4 km south of Fira Description: Still untouched by tourism, Megalochori keeps its beautiful architecture with the picturesque square, the narrow streets, the Neoclassical mansions and the typical cave houses of Santorini.
Location: 2.6 km north of Fira Description: Firostefani is a small village within a walking distance from Fira. It is like a suburb to the capital of Santorini. It distinguishes for its traditional architecture, the wonderful view and its tourism developement.
Location: 3.5 km north west of Fira Description: Imerovigli is like an extension of Fira but it is situated on a higher cliff. Providing some very romantic views, Imerovigli is more quiet than Fira but still enough tourism developed.
Location: 13.2 km north west of Fira Description: Amoudi is located within a walking distance from Oia. It is actually a small port that serves tour boats to the volcano and to the neighbouring island of Thirassia.
Location: 11.3 km south west of Fira Description: Akrotiri is a traditonal village located next to famous Red beach and the most important archaeological site on Santorini. Still unspoilt by mass tourism, Akrotiri offers one of the most calm spots on the island.
Location: 9 km south of Fira Description: A traditional villages on the south of Santorini, Emporio distinguishes for its vivid Medieval colour and the Castle on top of a hill. Emporio is surrounded by vast vineyards and old windmills.
Location: 12 km north west of Fira Description: Finikia is a charming settlement located next to the famous village of Oia Santorini. The village is very small and few hotels are available there.
Location:: 6,5 km south east of Fira Description: Mesa Gonia is a small village in the centre of Santorini, famous for its wine-making tradition. Mesa Gonia is surrounded by vast vineyards and Byzantine churches.
Location: 8.5 km south of Fira Description: Athinaios is actually the main port of Santorini, not a village and it gets much tourism traffic in summer. Located on the foot of an impressive cliff, Athinios is frequently connected to the capital of Fira by bus.
