How to get to Ammoudi

There are many different ways to get to Ammoudi from any location on the island.
Airport to Ammoudi: 18 Km / 11.1 miles | Port to Ammoudi: 24 Km / 14.9 miles | Fira to Ammoudi: 13.2 Km / 8.2 miles

Private transfers: We recommend using an online pre-booked transfer service, which provides transfer by taxi, minibus, or private VIP car and arranging a pickup directly from the port, airport, or your hotel. Car rental: There’s the option of renting a car and picking it up directly from the airport, port, or your hotel. Using a car allows visitors to discover Ammoudi and many other places of interest at their own pace.

Public transfers: In Oia village lies the terminal of the bus route Fira > Oia. Ammoudi village is approximately 1.5 km away. Fira is where the central bus station of the island is located. There are bus connections between this bus station and most areas of the island. There are buses to Oia approximately every hour. Note that time schedules might change according to the season. From Santorini airport to Ammoudi: A bus stop lies between the arrivals and departure buildings. The buses that depart from there take visitors to the central bus station in Fira village, which is 5 km away. A bus from Santorini airport to Fira departs approximately every hour. From Fira, visitors should board another bus to reach Ammoudi, following the route Fira > Oia.
From Santorini port (Athinios) to Ammoudi: The bus station is located at the port of Santorini. Visitors who have arrived by ferry can take a bus to Fira Central bus station, which is 8.5 km away. From Fira, visitors should board another bus to reach Ammoudi, following the route Fira > Oia.
Tip: Since buses don’t always stop at every scheduled stop of their itinerary, our advice to visitors is to inform the driver about their final destination in advance.
