Three days classical tour, from Athens

General Description

Day 1:

We start our tour driving along the coast from Athens to the Corinth Canal (brief stop). We continue till Epidaurus, where we visit the famous Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus, famous for its acoustics.

Then, we drive to the picturesque town of Nafplion (brief stop for photos) and continue to Mycenae. There, we visit the Archaeological Museum, the Lion Gate, the Cyclopean Walls, and the Treasury of Atreus.

After our visit, we depart to Olympia, passing through Central Peloponnese and the towns of Tripolis and Megalopolis.

Dinner and οvernight in Olympia, the cradle of the Olympic Games.

Day 2:

In the morning, we visit the Archaeological Site of Olympia.

There, we get the chance to see the Temple of Zeus, the Temple of Hera, the Ancient Stadium, and the Archaeological Museum.

Then, we drive through the plains of Ilia and Achaia and cross the cable bridge of Rion-Antirrion near Patras. After passing by the lovely towns of Nafpaktos (Lepanto) and Itea, we arrive in Delphi.

Dinner and overnight in Delphi.

Day 3:

In the morning, we visit the Ancient Site of Delphi, the most famous oracle of the ancient world, and the Archaeological Museum.

Then, you have a couple of hours of free time in Delphi before departing to Athens, driving through Arachova, Levadia, and Thebes.

We arrive in Athens early in the evening.

Note:
Those who stay on the coast will depart for their hotels around 19.30. From November 5th to March 25th, every Monday, only First-class is available.

On Easter Sunday:
Visitors arriving in Olympia on Easter Sunday won’t be able to visit the archaeological site, as it closed. Instead, they will make a tour outside the site and will be offered complimentary traditional Easter lunch.

Transportation and guides:
We use modern buses for transportation. Buses are constantly upgraded in order to comply with the latest comfort standards. Smoking is not allowed on the buses. Every tour has its own professional lecturer guides. As for the drivers, they have years of experience on routes all over Greece.
