General Description

Day 1:

We will start this exciting experience toward Northern Greece by driving through the region of Boeotia. Passing by Thebes, Levadia, and the village of Arachova, we will reach the historical Delphi. We will guide you through theandnbsp?Archaeological Site of Delphi, featuring monuments such as the Temple of Apollo at Delphi and the Ancient Theater of Delphi!
Afterward, we will head to Kalambaka, a picturesque town on the foothills of the Meteora rock formations in Thessaly.
Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2:

In the morning, we will visit the renowned Meteora, atop which you will encounter a plethora of monasteries filled with top-tier specimens of Byzantine art! After being guided to two of the monasteries, we will head east, passing by the plains of Thessaly and Tempi, to admire the imposing Mount Olympos, the highest mountain top in the country!
We will arrive in Thessaloniki, the second-largest city in Greece (after Athens), in the late afternoon.
Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3:

We will begin our day by exploring the legendary Thessaloniki, going to must-visit monuments, and experiencing the majestic designs of some of the most widely-known Byzantine-era churches! After being guided around the Museum of Byzantine Culture (which was awarded the Council of Europe Museum Prize in 2005), you will have the rest of the day free to explore the capital of Macedonia.
Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4:

We will leave the city in the early morning to start a traveling experience to the wider region of Macedonia! Our first stop will be the majestic Edessa and its awe-inspiring waterfalls before going to Naoussa. There, we will take a good look at the site of Aristotle's School, an ancient learning center!
Our next stop is Vergina (the ancient Aigai) and its fascinating Museum of the Royal Tombs, featuring findings from the tomb of King Philip the Second, father of Alexander the Great!
Our last stop before returning to Thessaloniki will be Veria, where we will pay a visit to the Bema (Podium) of Saint Paul and stroll around the picturesque streets of the traditional Jewish Quarter of Barbouta!
Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5:

In the morning, we will drive to the historic Pella to admire the one-of-a-kind floor mosaics and the New Archaeological Museum of Pella! Next, we will visit the Archaeological Park of Dion, the most important archaeological site at Mount Olympus in Greece. Heading south, passing by Thessaly, Lamia, Thermopylae (short photo-stop at the Statue of Leonidas), and Thebes, we will reach the Greek capital late in the afternoon.

• For the visit to Meteora Monasteries, ladies need to wear long skirts and gentlemen long trousers.
• Those who stay on the coast will depart for their hotels around 19.15.
