  • Where is the ferry port?

Karpathos has two ports. The main harbor is located on the island’s southeastern coast, right at the island’s capital town, Pigadia. The second port is at Diafani, a picturesque village nearly 50 kilometers north of Pigadia. Both receive passenger ferries from other destinations.

  • How can I get from the port to the beaches?

The most budget-friendly way of moving around Karpathos is using public buses (KTEL). Karpathos Port is connected by bus to Diafani and several major villages, as well as to many of the island’s finest beaches, such as Achata, Mikri Amoopi and Arkassa. In order to explore the gorgeous coastline with greater freedom, you can also consider renting a car or a moto.

  • How do I get from the airport to the port?

The Airport of Karpathos is located on the southernmost edge of the island, around 14 kilometers from the main town, and is well connected to Karpathos Port via public buses. There is no direct connection between Diafani and the airport, but visitors can get to Pigadia first and take the bus to Diafani from there. It is also possible to rent a car or get a taxi from the port.
