In brief, Karpathos Airport receives incoming direct flights from a handful of countries. Daily direct flights link the island with Athens and Rhodes.
Notes: • There are no direct flights from other continents.
• Karpathos is also connected by ferry to other islands and the port of Piraeus.

It is much easier to arrive at Karpathos by having a transit stop at the International Airport of Athens, and then taking the ferry or airplane to the island.

Furthermore, it is important to remember that airplane tickets are pricey, with their highest price tags through the summertime. Thus, we suggest you book your desired accommodation and airline tickets months before your trip.

National Flights

The International Airport of Karpathos (AOK) is located 13 km from its capital, Pigadia, where you will also find the main port.

• From Athens Airport

Flights between Karpathos and the Airport of Athens are available throughout the year. Travel time is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Those are operated by Aegean Airlines (and sub-company Olympic Air) and Sky Express.

• Other National Airports

The island receives a few flights from Rhodes, and Kos have a few flights to and from Karpathos some years. Most of those are operated by Aegean Airlines (and sub-company Olympic Air) and Neos.
