Town
Location: On the eastern side of the island
Description: Zakynthos Town is the capital and main port of the island. Its architecture stands out for the elegant Venetian and Neoclassical styles. This is a lovely town for an evening stroll along the narrow paths and the waterfront.

Keri
Location: 17 km south west of Zakynthos Town
Description: Keri is a lovely village that has managed to escape the tourism growth of the island. The nearest beach is Limni Keriou.

Maherado
Location: 7.5 km south west of Zakynthos Town
Description: Maherado is the second largest village of the island. Located in the inland, it has escaped the tourism growth of Zakynthos.

Volimes
Location: 31.5 km north west of Zakynthos Town
Description: Volimes is an agricultural village on the northern side of the island. Located at an altitude of 480 m, Volimes gives nice view to the surrounding nature.

Maries
Location: 31 km west of Zakynthos Town
Description: Maries is a picturesque village with nice view to the Ionian Sea. Maries is totally untouched by tourism and visitors can get a view of rural life on Zakynthos.

Agios Leon
Location: 24 km west from Zakynthos Town
Description: A small traditional village on the western side of the island, Agios Leon took its name from a 14th century church.

Argassi Village
Location: 4 km south east of Zakynthos Town
Description: Argassi is a popular tourist resort with many hotels and a clean beach in front. It gets very busy because of its closeness to Zakynthos Town.

Exo Hora
Location: 36 km from Zakynthos Town
Description: Exo Chora is a small, mountainous village with traditional architecture. It is one of the few villages that survived the earthquake of 1953.

Kambi
Location: 30 km north west of Zakynthos Town
Description: Kambi is a lovely, small village built on the slopes of a green hill. From its location, it overlooks the beautiful bay of Schiza.

Katastari
Location: 17 km north west of Zakynthos Town
Description: This is a traditional village surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, with view to the amazing gulf of Alykes.

Tragaki
Location: 11 km north west of Zakynthos Town
Description: Tragaki is a small village spread in a lush green area of olive groves and vineyards. Many beautiful beaches are located in close distance to the village.

Kiliomenos
Location: 16 km south west of Zakynthos Town
Description: Kiliomenos is a rural mountain village that can be easily reached by car from Zakynthos Town. The surrounding region is rich in vegetation, making it an ideal spot for walking.

Agalas
Location: 22 km south west of Zakynthos Town
Description: Agalas is a small mountain village on the westcoast of the island, surrounded by pine trees and some olive groves. This is a starting point for many brilliant walks, such as the walk to the Cave of Damianos.

Anafonitria
Location: 23 km north west of Zakynthos Town
Description: Anafonitria is a small village on the north western side of Zakynthos, just above the Shipwreck Bay. Nearby is a historical monastery, established in the 15th century.
Gyri
Location: 20 km north west of Zakynthos Town
Description: Located at an altitude of 550 m, Gyri is one of the oldest villages on the island as it was established in the 15th century. The surrounding region is great for walks in the nature.
