General information

The traditional village of Keri is located 17 km from Zakynthos Town, atop a verdant hill. It has around 500 inhabitants, most of whom are engaged in agriculture and farming. It is a quiet and charming village that maintains a strong traditional character with many stone-built houses and narrow streets. The most charming part of the village is the central square from where you can enjoy superb views of the Ionian Sea. The village has largely escaped the growth of tourism. 

Panagia Keriotissa is the main church of the village with an impressive bell tower. That church stands below the village and houses an icon that locals believe that it has miraculous powers.

Boats from Limni Keriou depart to the nearby Marathonisi Islet and the blue caves of Zakynthos. The area is a shelter for many fishing boats and yachts. The main beach is quite busy and due to the small space, it gets easily cramped.
