General information

Located at a distance of 16 km from Zakynthos Town, Kiliomenos is a rural mountain village with some houses dating back to the 16th century. Located at a high altitude, it can be easily reached by car. The region's main attraction is the church of Agios Nikolaos.

The area around Kiliomenos is rich in vegetation, full of pine and cypress trees and numerous varieties of colorful flowers, making it an ideal spot for walking.

The local Women's Agricultural Cooperative called Melissiotises runs its own shop and offers local agricultural products to the tourists passing by. Highly recommended are the traditional olive oil, a few local wines, delicious honey, a variety of cheese, and much more.

In order to reach Kiliomenos, head north towards the village of Volimes, beyond Lithakia.
