Naxos Agios Prokopios beach

Information about Agios Prokopios beach

Agios Prokopios Naxos: Located at 6 km away from the capital, Agios Prokopios is one of the most popular beaches of Naxos and considered as one of the most beautiful beaches in Greece and also in Europe. The long golden sandy beach extends over 1, 5 kilometres and has beautiful crystalline waters, protected from the strong winds frequently blowing on the island.

One part of the beach is organized and offers sunbeds, umbrellas and water sports facilities whereas the other part is left to its natural beauty and totally unspoiled by tourist facilities. Sandy dunes are softly rising on this beach and, behind them lies a small village proposing various hotels, restaurants, cafes and bars. Agios Prokopios is reachable by bus which leaves frequently from the capital, Naxos Town.

Naxos is a very popular and busy island and it is not always easy to find a free sunbed on the many organized beaches. You can now Book your sunbeds online.

      Just average
This beach is just average and not really worth visiting for an adventurer or a person that likes secluded beaches. It is a plain, regular beach, one of those you'll see everywhere.
I gave it a higher rating simply because of clear water and colour, which is amazing along Naxos.

      Lovely and clean
The beach is on 10-15 minutes by car or by bus from the Chora. It is very good organized, extremely clean, with beautiful blue color of the sea. There is one very popular beach bar across the street where young people have fun all day. Great beach for all generations.

      Great beach bars
Agios Prokopios is a worthy beach, the water and sand are so relaxing. The sun was pretty warm and it provided the best possible atmosphere for a beach vacation. Water of the sea also reflected the warmth of the sun. Both of us had a great time swimming in the soothing water. We spent almost half a day simply relaxing under a sun bed. The sand is not so thin and it doesn't stick to our body. We had a few excellent cocktails at the beach bar and really cheap compared to other islands, just 5 euros a beer.
