Kavos is secluded, making it suitable for visitors who seek serenity and privacy.
The beach features crystal-clear turquoise waters, thick golden sand, and a poster-worthy cluster of rocks at the water’s edge.
The place is so clean and tranquil that you’ll feel more like you’re swimming in a luxurious pool than on a beach of the Cyclades!
Don’t forget to bring your camera and underwater masks to enjoy a unique snorkeling experience!
Since it is remote, there are no sunbeds, umbrellas, or showers. There’s also no beach bar or store around, so remember to bring your own beach equipment and beverages/snacks with you.
If you feel your stomach rumbling after a while, you can enjoy the local cuisine in one of the regional restaurants like Kontos Restaurant.
Kavos is located approximately 13 km away from Naxos Town. You can reach it via car or public transportation.
Fortunately, the beach isn’t hard to find. You can park your vehicle above the beach (limited spaces) and then approach it on foot. From there, you will see Kavos beach on your left. The drive usually lasts around 30 - 40 minutes.
To reach Kavos by bus, you have to hop on a bus that heads to Mikri Vigla. Bus Line 1 starts from Naxos Port and heads to Mikri Vigla via the Plaka coastal road.
Mikri Vigla is the terminal of Bus Line 1. Itineraries are frequent, especially during the high season. The route lasts around 35 minutes. The tickets are affordable and can only be purchased at the counter before the pickup. After you arrive at Mikri Vigla, Kavos is just a few-minute walk away.
