Kavos is secluded, making it suitable for visitors who seek serenity and privacy.
The beach features crystal-clear turquoise waters, thick golden sand, and a poster-worthy cluster of rocks at the water’s edge.
The place is so clean and tranquil that you’ll feel more like you’re swimming in a luxurious pool than on a beach of the Cyclades! Don’t forget to bring your camera and underwater masks to enjoy a unique snorkeling experience!
Since it is remote, there are no sunbeds, umbrellas, or showers. There’s also no beach bar or store around, so remember to bring your own beach equipment and beverages/snacks with you.
If you feel your stomach rumbling after a while, you can enjoy the local cuisine in one of the regional restaurants like Kontos Restaurant.
There are many different ways to get to Kavos from any location on the island. Airport to Kavos: 8.8 km / 5.5 miles | Port to Kavos: 12.8 km / 8 miles | Chora to Kavos: 12.1 km / 7.5 miles
Private transfers: We recommend using an online pre-booked transfer service, which provides transfer by taxi, minibus, or private VIP car and arranging a pickup directly from the port, airport, or your hotel. Alternatively, there’s the option of arranging a pickup by a local driver directly at the following numbers: 0030 22850 25835, 0030 22850 24829, or booking your taxi online.
Car rental: There's the option of renting a car and picking it up directly from the airport, port, or your hotel. Using a car rental allows visitors to discover Kavos and many other places of interest at their own pace.
Public transfers: In order to get to Kavos you have to take a bus to Mikri Vigla and then approach the beach on foot. The central bus station of the island is located at the port of Naxos. There are several buses from Chora to Mikri Vigla during the day. Consider that time schedules might change according to the season. Check the official timetables here. From Naxos airport to Mikri Vigla: Note that there is no bus station at the airport and the best option is to book a car or a transfer. If you still want to use the public bus, after exiting the airport buildings, follow the road to the left. The closest bus stop (Naxos Camp) is located 700 meters away. From Naxos Camp, visitors can take the bus route Plaka - Agia Anna > Chora (approximately every 30 minutes during summer) to Naxos central station. From there, visitors should board a bus. Line 1 terminates at Mikri Vigla. From Naxos port to Mikri Vigla: The bus station is located at the port of Naxos. From there, visitors who have arrived by ferry should take a bus. Line 1 terminates at Mikri Vigla. Tip: Since buses don’t always stop at every scheduled stop of their itinerary, our advice to visitors is to inform the driver about their final destination in advance.
