Two days tour to Mycenae, Epidaurus and Nafplion, from Athens

General Description

Day 1:

We start our tour driving from Athens to the Corinth Canal (brief stop), where the Aegean meets the Ionian Sea.

We continue till Mycenae, where we visit the Lion Gate, the Cyclopean Walls, the Treasury of Atreus, and the Archaeological Museum.

We have our lunch in Mycenae.

After, we cross the fertile area of Argolis and arrive in Nafplion, a seaside lovely town with Medieval architecture. Trivia: The Venetians used to call it the Naples of Greece.

In the afternoon you are free to visit Palamidi fortress, the Old Town, the island-fortress of Bourtzi at the entrance of the port, and the numerous museums.

Overnight in Nafplion.

Day 2:

In the morning you’re free to continue your exploration around Nafplion, relax at the seaside cafeterias, and walk along the promenade of Akronafplia.

After that, we continue to Epidaurus, where we visit the Ancient Theatre, which boasts an exceptional design and acoustics.

Then, we return to Athens.
