Castle of Agia Mavra
CastlesThis is a medieval castle built by the Franks who occupied Lefkada in 1294 and it protected the whole region from enemies. It is located right before the bridge that connects the island to the mainland.

Agios Ioannis Antzoussis
ChurchesSituated 3 km west of Lefkada Town, this is the oldest church on the island. It was built by the Franks on the top of a rock, on the site where an older church used to stand. Some said that Apostle Paul once stopped here, on his way to Rome, to teach Christianity.
Archaeological Museum
MuseumsLocated on Faneromeni Street, in the capital of Lefkada, the Archaeological Museum houses various archaeological findings dating from the Early Bronze Age and found by the German archaeologist Dorpfeld in the sites of Nidri, Kariotes, Evgiros, and others.

Ecclesiastical Museum
MuseumsThe Monastery of Faneromeni hosts a small ecclesiastical museum with Byzantine icons, priest clothing, and other relics.

Museum of Phonographs

Church of Hodegetria
ChurchesThe church of Panagia Hodegetria is the oldest Byzantine monument on the island. It is located in a walking distance from Apolpena village, just 2 km south of the main town. The interior of the church had some amazing frescoes, that are today hosted in the Byzantine Museum of Athens.
