PlanesHow to move aroundFacilities

In brief, the International Airport of Rhodes receives domestic direct flights from Athens and Thessaloniki every day, plus direct and connecting flights from various islands around Greece and cities abroad, with most being available during the summer.

The fourth largest and busiest airport in the country, Rhodes International Airport "Diagoras" (IATA code: RHO, ICAO code: LGRP) lies on the northwestern side of the island, a little over 12 kilometers from Rhodes Town.
Its name is a nod to the ancient Greek boxer and famed athlete Diagoras who originated from the island.
The airport started operating in 1977, and it has helped turn Rhodes into one of the most popular destinations in Greece, having direct connections with over 25 countries!

Flights

The island can be reached from different domestic and European destinations by using commercial and charter flights. Most direct flights from Athens (ATH), Thessaloniki (SKG), Heraklion (HER), and other Greek towns are handled by Aegean Airlines (and subsidiary Olympic Air), Ryanair, and Sky Express.
The airport can also host incoming private jets, charter flights and private helicopters.
