Ermoupolis is a town with combined Venetian, Cycladic and Neoclassical architecture. This is a wonderful place to stroll around. In summer, many festivals take place there.
The Town Hall is the most impressive Neoclassical building in Syros. It is located in the central square and was designed by the famous architect Ernst Ziller.
Vaporia is the most picturesque quarter in Ermoupolis. The region is actually lined up with impressive Venetian mansions that give amazing view to the Aegean Sea.
Ano Syros is a lovely quarter constructed on the slopes of the hill above Ermoupolis. This traditional quarter has a Catholic church on the highest spot.
Galissas is a beautiful and organized beach, lined up with cozy accommodations, fish taverns and some water sports centers.
Megas Gialos is a nice and quiet beach on the island. It has some accommodations to stay and lovely fish taverns along the coast.
