Syros Megas Gialos beach

The beach of Megas Gialos in Syros is a very popular destination amongst locals and tourists due to its wonderful coarse sand and gorgeous crystalline waters! Despite its narrow shore, Megas Gialos is an ideal bathing spot for families with young children in Syros since it features a shallow seabed, as well as some tamarisk trees that provide shade to visitors!

Megas Gialos is a well-organized beach destination, given that it hosts a few arrays of sunbed pairs and parasols alongside some public sun umbrellas, though there are a few spots where people can set up their own equipment! Moreover, one will also spot a nearby bar restaurant and a couple of on-the-beach facilities, like a WC booth and a changing cabin!

Last but not least, there is a bus stop within a few minutes from the shore, where visitors can take the bus to Ermoupolis!
