General information

The beach of Finikas in Syros is a long, sandy strip with some scattered pebbles near the waters! The shore is clear with lots of slippery stones in its bottom, whereas there are plenty of trees along the beach that offer some shade to bathers with no beach equipment! Plus, it is to be noted that Finikas is Syros' only natural harbor!

Finikas Beach is partly organized, featuring an array of free-to-use public sun umbrellas and a changing booth, as well as a couple of drinking and snacking spots within a brief distance from the coast.

Moreover, it is frequently used as a fishing spot, given that there are a couple of fishing platforms, while it also functions as a full-service marina since it is sheltered from summertime meltemia winds!

    Quiet nighlife
The beach of Finikas was excellent and so bright. Now that I am back, I miss those lasy days laying on my sun bed in Finikas, under the hot Greek sun. In the evening, the beach could get a bit windy, but until 2-3 in the afternoon it was great! By the beach, there were taverns and cafeterias, but nightlife was almost inexisting on Finikas. For good clubs, go to Ermoupolis, but still do not expect wild things. Nightlife is generally very quiet.
