General information

Finikas Beach Syros: The beach of Finikas is placed to the south-west coast of Syros island, 11 km from Ermoupouli town. Finikas beach has the shape of a small bay and its port is the second largest in Syros, after the port of Ermoupolis.

Many fishing boats and yachts dock at Foinikas port, because it is sheltered from the northern summer winds, called "meltemia", which are so common in the Aegean islands.

Many accommodation options are found close to the beach and have great view to the sea and the countryside of Syros. Many seaside taverns offer delicious fish food at reasonable prices. You can go to the beach by bus from Ermoupolis.

    Quiet nighlife
The beach of Finikas was excellent and so bright. Now that I am back, I miss those lasy days laying on my sun bed in Finikas, under the hot Greek sun. In the evening, the beach could get a bit windy, but until 2-3 in the afternoon it was great! By the beach, there were taverns and cafeterias, but nightlife was almost inexisting on Finikas. For good clubs, go to Ermoupolis, but still do not expect wild things. Nightlife is generally very quiet.
