Paros Monastiri beach

General information

Monastiri in Paros is located a couple of kilometers after the beach of Kolymbithres, in a rocky bay surrounded by huge rocky hills.

If you look up to your right you can see the Monastery of Agios Ioannis Detis, to which the beach owns its name. On the left lie some imposing rocks. This beach is organized and well-equipped, therefore quite busy during summer.

The beautiful sandy beach has crystalline waters and is popular for its beauty. The sea is emerald-colored and the water stays at waist level for around 100 meters. The sand is surprisingly deep and very sludgy.
Sun beds and umbrellas can be rented from the beach bar -restaurant and water sports facilities are also available.
Those features plus the fact that the Environmental and Cultural Center of Paros lies nearby have made the beach a favorite among families with children.

In summer, various events are organized on Monastiri such as concerts, beach parties, various contests, etc. In addition, the beach is also known to be a famous spot where yachts come to moor.

This beach is reachable from the asphalted road passing nearby or by boats, leaving regularly from the harbor of Naoussa.
