Spetses Church of Resurrection

The Church of Resurrection is a unique cherry-red colored church, located near the beaches of Scholes and Ligoneri, just off the main town of Spetses. This small church is right next to the sea and next to the road that leads to Scholes.

The Church celebrates its creation on the Greek Orthodox Easter Sunday, with many visitors, both local and foreign, making the trip to light a small candle and pray. Its distinct size and color are what set it apart from all the other monasteries and churches on the island. The services performed in the church are less crowded than in the big churches of Spetses, but this gives the Church of Resurrection a personal feel for all visitors.

It can be reached on foot or by water taxi from Dapia.
