Water Taxis in Spetses

Given that no cars are allowed on Spetses and the only other options of transportation are the local bus and rental motorbikes, many visitors and locals use water taxis for some of their trips throughout the day! Water taxis are a great way of covering long distances by the sea and approaching areas that can only be accessed with the use of a boat! All water taxis are owned and operated by Spetsian residents, the phones of which can be found online.

Water taxis are usually found at Dapia Port and the port of Kosta (or Costa) in Peloponnese, opposite Spetses. A boat from Kosta is one of the main ways you can access the island, offering guests daily ferry boat trips (with scarce timetables, especially in the low-season) along with the option of grabbing a water taxi. Water taxis are a reliable transfer option, available throughout the year.

A one-way water taxi trip linking Spetses and Costa costs about 30 to 35 euros (all costs must follow a specific price list) and can host up to eight people. Furthermore, you may also ask for a transfer from Spetses to any other nearby part of mainland Greece, such as Porto Heli, Agios Emilianos, or the bay of Hinitsa!

The water taxis of Spetses can help you reach remote spots around the island, such as the Bekiris Cave, the secluded beach of Kouzounos, or Zogeria Beach, along with making sure you can access Spetses at any point during the early morning or late night hours!

Book your one-way or round trip beforehand to make sure there is a boat on the shore waiting for you on time!
