Spetses Church of Panagia Gorgoepikoos

Just before we start ascending the cypress-lined road leading to the Monastery of Agioi Pantes, another road trails off to the right, which, after an 850-meter-walk, reaches the Convent of Panagia Gorgoepikooos (the Convent of the Fast-Hearing Virgin Mary).

Built in 1984 by followers of the old Julian calendar, it sits on a wooded height with nice views. It holds two annual celebrations, on October 14 and the second Sunday after Easter. Here start two paths going up to the church of Panagia Elonas (1.5 kilometers) and to that of Panagia Mirtidiotissa.
