In brief, the National Airport of Kalymnos receives frequent direct flights from Athens, as well as some from Kos and Leros throughout the year.

Kalymnos National Airport (IATA code: JKL, ICAO: LGKY) is a small domestic airport on the southwestern side of the island, not far from the settlement of Myrties. It is also at a distance of over 5 kilometers from the island's capital, as well as 6 km from the port of Pothia.
Its construction was completed in 2006, making it one of the most recent airports in Greece.

Flights

The island receives flights only from domestic airports. The majority of incoming flights are from Athens (ATH), while Kos (KGS) and Leros (LRS) also have a few flights to Kalymnos.

Public buses

A great option for traveling around Kalymnos on a budget, buses are reliable, inexpensive, and with frequent enough itineraries to consider moving around the island without your own vehicle!
The airport is connected directly with Pothia, as well as Myrties, Massouri, Emporios, and Vathy by bus during the high season!
Plus, the airport's bus station can be spotted a minute after exiting the terminals.

Tip: Should you use public transport, it is recommended that you notify the driver before your stop.
If you do not know where your bus stop is, inform the driver in advance about where you are heading, so that they stop at your destination!
