You can reach Kalymnos by ferry from Piraeus Port in Athens, as there are crossings available approximately 5 times per week. However, the trip is quite long and lasts from 8 hours and 30 minutes to 11 hours, depending on the route.
Apart from Athens, the island is also connected by ferry with several islands of the Dodecanese, including Rhodes, Kos, Leros, and Patmos, among others.
Especially from Kos and more specifically from Mastihari Port, there are frequent daily routes operated by local ferry companies.
