Flights to Kalymnos

In brief, Kalymnos has a small airport that only hosts domestic direct flights from a few destinations. Athens is connected to Kalymnos, with a handful of itineraries per week, as are Kos and Leros.
There are no direct flights to the island from abroad.

Since the island does not host incoming international flights, it is generally preferable to stop at Athens Airport and then take the ferry or the plane to Kalymnos.

Keep in mind that plane tickets (especially for connections with few itineraries) rise in prices during the summer. Consider booking your hotel and tickets in advance!

National Flights

Kalymnos National Airport (JKL) can be spotted 5 km from the island's capital of Pothia, 6.5 km from the port, and 6 km away from the famous village of Myrties.

• From Athens Airport

Flights from Athens are available all year round, and the estimated travel time is around 1 hour.

• Other National Airports

Kalymnos has flights connecting it to a couple more islands of the Dodecanese.
Namely, Kos and Leros are two islands that offer direct flights to Kalymnos throughout the year, with a couple of itineraries every week. Both flights have an estimated travel time of 25 minutes.

International Flights & Airlines

Kalymnos Airport is not international, so it doesn't receive flights from other countries. Boarding a plane from the International Airport of Athens is the only way to fly to Kalymnos. Alternatively, you can take a ferry.
