The weather of Mykonos is typical Mediterranean weather with mild winters and hot, dry summers. From April to August, the weather is bright and sunny. Rainfall is rare; for that reason, the island uses tankers to supply its population and tourists with water. There are strong north winds (meltemia) throughout the summer months.

In brief, the weather in Mykonos is bright and sunny from April to October, with the highest temperatures occurring in August. Cloudy days are very rare during the high season, unlike meltemia winds that blow throughout the summer.

May is sunny and warm in the main, but that depends on the year. May is maybe the best month to go to the island and all the Greek islands. The flights are less expensive and the hotels' rates are lower. You will be able to enjoy the beaches and the bravest may even swim.

Summer is here! The weather in June is great. Not too hot and mostly sunny every day. It is a great month to enjoy the beaches, the sights, and the tours & activities without the endless crowds. Hotels prices and flight fares are still lower than those during July and August.

July is hot and sunny. Being one of the two busiest months of the year, if you are visiting in July, you will need to book your ferry tickets and hotels at least two months in advance. Note that July is a very expensive month.
