Katapola Village Amorgos: It is the main port of Amorgos. This beautiful region is divided into three settlements called Katapola, Rahidi and Xilokeratidi.

Katapola occupies a large bay and is situated at the most verdant part of the island. Some ancient remains of the Cretan city of Minoan and a Mycenaean cemetery lie above the port. Being the main port, Katapola offers accommodations, restaurants, nice bars and cafes. In fact, Katapola and Aegialis are the most developed spots of Amorgos. Katapola is located 6 km west of Chora.
