Amorgos Xilokeratidi (Katapola)

General information

Xilokeratidi in Amorgos is a charming little settlement in the bay of Katapola. It is a place of great historical significance for the island since it has been used as a sailboat port in the past. In addition to this, right next to the settlement lies an archeological site where you can find beehive tombs dating back to the Mycenaean civilization.

Besides the fact that a few hotels that offer a magnificent view are located in Xilokeratidi, the small settlement is also a popular destination among lovers of traditional food, since many restaurants and taverns are located there, including the famous cafe "The Big Blue". The local cuisine is definitely worth trying!
