Jarka 25 Aug 2021Average beachThe beach is very long so perhaps we chose a bad spot, but the experience was not the best one.
The sunbeds are lined in a few rows close to each other so it can get quite crowded and feel very touristy.
You can use a pair of sunbeds with an umbrella when you buy some drink from a bar which supplies them.
The beach is not protected from the wind. -
usa77trs 26 Jan 2009Beach parties all nightAmoudara is a beach very close to Heraklion, just past the stadium of the city. It is actually a tourist resort withy a large 5km beach and a waterfront with tourist shops, bars and restaurants. Most bars are actually cafeterias with loud music, not clubs. The beach has umbrellas and it is better to go in the evening, when families and kids leave and youngsters remain to start their beach parties.
