The most popular product of Nafpaktos is virgin olive oil. There are many olive groves around Nafpaktos and the good climate favors the production of high-quality oil. Many inhabitants also deal with fishing, so they provide the fish taverns with fresh fish. Over the last years, many women cooperatives have been established around Nafpaktos and produce pasta, spoon sweets and jams from local fruits.
