Religious feasts & festivals

August 15th
On August 15th, the locals celebrate the Dormition of the Virgin. Very popular is the service in the Monastery of Metamorfosi close to Nafpaktos.

August 6th
On August 6th celebrates the Monastery of Metamorfosi on the occasion of the Transfiguration of Christ.

July 26th
On July 26th is the feast of Agia Paraskevi, a lovely church in Nafpaktos Town.

Cultural events

Summer Events
Many summer events take place in Nafpaktos in summer. These events include theatre performances, musical concerts, painting and photo exhibitions, youth parties, book fairs, and others.

Papacharalampeia Sports Events
The Papacharalambeia Festival includes mostly sports competitions in the municipal stadium of Nafpaktos. It takes place in late June.
