There is no ferry to Skyros from Athens. The only ferry to Skyros departs from Kymi Town, on the eastern side of Evia island, which is about 3 hours from Athens by bus. The ferry to Skyros needs about 2 hours and a half. In summer, there are local ferries to Skyros from Alonissos and Skopelos. To go to Kymi, you take the bus from the Liossion KTEL (green bus) station in Athens. To go to Liossion station, you take the metro to Attiki station and then a bus or taxi to Liossion KTEL Bus Station.
