Ferries to Skyros Ferries depart for Skyros only from Kymi, a small port on the eastern side of Evia island. The itineraries are frequent, about 2-3 times per day and the trip is short, about one hour and a half. The routes are carried out by Skyros Shipping Company (SNE). In case you are traveling from Athens, you need to reach Halkida by KTEL bus and then you have to take another bus to Kymi. Flights to Skyros Skyros Island National Airport receives only domestic flights from Athens and Thessaloniki. The flight time from Athens to Skyros is estimated at around 40 minutes. Upon your arrival, you should better take a taxi to your hotel, since the airport is located 17km away from Skyros Town. There are always many taxis at the airport's entrance.
