These two monuments are the most important sightseeing in Patmos. The island also has nice and calm beaches for beach holidays, some organized and others totally secluded. Excursion boats from the port of Skala go to the islands of Leros, Lipsi, Arki, and Marathi.

Best Sightseeing

Constructed on top of a hill above Chora, the Orthodox Monastery of Saint John the Theologian is among the most important religious centers in Greece. It looks like a fortress but inside there is a monastery, built on the site of an ancient temple.
