Tourist shops are mostly gathered on the waterfront of the port of Skala and are open from 09:00 to 22:00 every day. Various shops are selling local products such as embroideries, ceramics, small sculptures and hand-woven fabrics with traditional designs.
Many fine jewelers are scattered in Chora and Skala, proposing handmade classic jewels or modern ones inspired by ancient motifs. Due to the island's connection with religion, hand-painted icons and books on Byzantine times are available in some local shops as well.
