Syros Kini Aquarium

A small yet fascinating aquarium in the western part of the island, the Kini Aquarium in Syros houses exhibits of the Aegean Sea, including species across the spectrum of the Mediterranean fauna, as well as plentiful plants that bloom and prosper in the sea bottom! Guests will spot live local fish, crabs, lobsters, and octopuses, along with information for every species in text and audio form!

The guides can show you around to witness sea life remnants, such as seashells, swordfish, hippocampi, shark jaws, and loggerhead turtles, as well as equipment used deep in the ocean, like old boats and essential fishing tools! In addition, this aquarium has an inexpensive entrance!

Kini Aquarium is usually open during the summertime.
