Syros Catholic Church of Saint Sebastian

Location: Ano Syros

A spacious building with lovely interior decorations, the Catholic Church of Saint Sebastian in Ano Syros is spotted on the outskirts of the settlement! It has been one of the oldest catholic buildings since its existence has been mentioned in a list from 1631!

Saint Sebastian Church features a bell tower along with a large dome, while its sanctuary hosts a big table and a handful of chairs, as well as a fantastic icon and a cross depicting Jesus! Moreover, this church has wooden benches for all visitors and a couple of gorgeous chandeliers! Two additional enlargements (in 1805 and 1831) shaped the church into its current form, while its bell tower was created in 1842!

In memory of Saint Sebastian (whose remembrance day is the 20th of January), the church celebrates annually for two consecutive days!
