Syros Guitar Festival

The Hermoupolis Guitar Festival in Syros: The Hermoupolis Guitar Festival started in 1994, founded by the guitarist Angelos Nikolopoulos. It usually takes place in the beginning or middle of July ever since.

Drawing many talented artists and visitors who come to appreciate good music, the Hermoupolis Guitar Festival has seen some major artists performing. Introducing the audience to different aspects of guitar music, the festival promotes artists of all levels, both amateurs and professionals.

This festival is organized by the Cultural Center of Hermoupolis and includes concerts by guitarists of all levels, master classes, junior classes, and competitions. Concerts take place in Miaouli Square of Ermoupolis, the village of Ano Syros, or Apollo Theatre.
