Paros Drios

Information about Drios

Drios Paros: Drios is a small fishing village located on the east coast of Paros and surrounded by various nice sandy villages. This is another smal fishing village of the island. There is a row of restaurants (specializing in fish of course) and below them is the picturesque harbour. Looking out from the village you can see the uninhabited island of Drios.

Discover the available Tours or get there with your own car rental, starting at 14€ per day.

How to get to Drios

There are many different ways to get to Drios from any location on the island.
Airport to Drios: 14.5 km / 9 miles | Port to Drios: 21 km / 13 miles | Parikia to Drios: 21 km / 13 miles

Private transfers: We recommend using an online pre-booked Paros transfer service, which provides transfer by taxi, minibus or private VIP car and arranging a pickup directly from the port, airport or your hotel. Alternatively, there’s the option of arranging a pickup by a local driver directly at the following numbers: 0030 694 4540 556, 0030 694 4668 331, 0030 699 9450 800 or book your taxi online.

Car rental: Τhere’s the option of renting a car in Paros with as little as 14 euros per day and pick it up directly from the airport, port or your hotel. Using a car rental allows visitors to discover Drios and many other places of interest in Paros at their own pace.

Public transfers: The central bus station of the island is located at the main port of Paros (Parikia). There are several buses from Parikia to Drios during the day. Consider that time schedules might change according to the season. Check the official timetables here.
From Paros airport to Drios: There’s a bus station outside the airport building. The buses that depart from there take visitors to the main bus station in Parikia village. From Parikia, visitors should take another bus to reach Drios.
From Paros port to Drios: The central bus station is located at the main port of Paros (Parikia). From there, visitors who have arrived by ferry to Paros should take a bus to reach Drios.
Tip: Since buses don’t always stop in every scheduled stop of their itinerary, our advice to visitors is to inform the driver about their final destination, so that he makes a stop there.

Perhaps the best taverna in the Cyclades
I love Paros... the people, the culture, the religion, the strong family ties, the colours, the clarity in the sky.... the food... Talking of the food; if you are in Paros try dining at Annas Restaurant in Drios Village (opposite the supermarket) It is awesome!

Anna does not show you a menu, she invites you into her kitchen and shows you all the pots containing her home made cooking. Her mum sits in the corner peeling figs, smiling and singing Greek songs.

The food is amazing: from lamb, to fresh fish, to aubergines, to chick peas, to meat balls... all made with love... and will cost about 12 Euro plus wine :)

Anna is the heart of the community and will welcome you into her "home"...and to the local village... If you go, please say "Ali sent you". She will give you the biggest smile and warmest welcome.
