abo.abo 13 Aug 2013Perhaps the best taverna in the CycladesI love Paros... the people, the culture, the religion, the strong family ties, the colours, the clarity in the sky.... the food... Talking of the food; if you are in Paros try dining at Annas Restaurant in Drios Village (opposite the supermarket) It is awesome!
Anna does not show you a menu, she invites you into her kitchen and shows you all the pots containing her home made cooking. Her mum sits in the corner peeling figs, smiling and singing Greek songs.
The food is amazing: from lamb, to fresh fish, to aubergines, to chick peas, to meat balls... all made with love... and will cost about 12 Euro plus wine :)
Anna is the heart of the community and will welcome you into her "home"...and to the local village... If you go, please say "Ali sent you". She will give you the biggest smile and warmest welcome.
Cheers
