General information

The secluded Thiorichia Beach in Milos is a unique destination on the island, all because of the fantastic scenery.

One of the most fascinating beaches on the island, Thiorichia Beach is a scenic seashore next to old sulfur mines. It features clear-blue, deep-sea rocky waters and a bright-yellow sandy shore between two large rock formations. Colored by the many years of sulfur extraction, the beach and nearby area boast majestic red, brown, and golden yellow touches. Thiorichia is an unorganized beach destination, so there are no parasols or sunbeds available!

Visit the picturesque old buildings and explore the cave entrance, the old beds, and the remnants of a facility that shut down all the way back in 1978! However, access to Thiorichia Beach can be quite difficult due to the rocky cliffs and downhill dirt roads, so renting an off-road SUV or an ATV is recommended.
