The fishing village of Batsi is one of the most popular places to stay in Andros. The quaint town is located on the island's west side, only 9km south of Gavrion port.
It has a bus station with frequent schedules so it is a good place to stay if you are not renting a car on the island.
Furthermore, the village has a nice sandy beach to which you can have easy and direct access from your hotel.
Batsi is built amphitheatrically facing the harbor and there are many shops and restaurants in the area.
Overall, it is considered a very convenient place to stay.

It lies on the west side of the island like Batsi, which is only 9km away. There is a beautiful beach with clean water near the town.

Chora is the capital of Andros and unlike the aforementioned towns, it is located on the east coast of the island. This means that the distance from the port is a 50minutes drive or 32km. Nonetheless, it is one of the most beautiful towns in the Cyclades. It used to be a wealthy place with many "captains" living there. This is why you will find beautiful neoclassical mansions and impressive buildings.
There are many shops, a museum of modern art, fancy restaurants, and boutique hotels. There are two beaches near Chora: Paraporti beach and Nimboriou beach.
