Amorgos is only accessible by ferry. Note that the island has two ports - one in Katapola and one in Aegialis.
There is a regular ferry connection between Piraeus Port (Athens) and Amorgos, with one or two ferries heading to Katapola departing every day during the high season. Ferries to Aegialis, on the other hand, depart 4 times a week.
The trip lasts from 5.5 to 10 hours, depending on whether you are traveling by a conventional or a high-speed ferry.
The island is also connected with other Cycladic destinations, like Naxos, Santorini and Paros.

A ferry called Express Skopelitis connects the island with Naxos and the islands of the Small Cyclades on most days of the week. On some days, the same ferry connects Amorgos with Santorini and Ios. However, it is not the only ferry that connects Amorgos with the other two islands.
Note that Santorini boasts an international airport, while Naxos has a small national airport receiving domestic flights from Athens only.
