Arachova Map

Arachova is one of the most beautiful mountainous towns in Greece built on the slopes of Mount Parnassos, on 968 meters altitude, in Sterea region. It is a famous ski resort, since 1974 and attracts thousands of Athenians, due to its close proximity to the Greek capital. Arachova is a Greek traditional village embraced by the natural rugged landscape and dense forests privileged with breathtaking views to the wild scenery.

The picturesque town of Arachova is deeply rooted in history and folklore tradition, famous for its colorful carpets and local products. A stroll around the labyrinth of narrow alleys with the beautiful old houses, small churches, and picturesque shops will impress you while the tourist activity is concentrated at the main street of the town where there is a plethora of shops, taverns, and bars. Arachova attracts a great part of the Greek population, among them many Greek celebrities arriving mostly in the winter for the Parnassos Ski Center.
