Location: Town

Approached via an easy-to-walk road, the Monastery of Agia Fotini in Hydra is a peaceful retreat run by two nuns, who also offer their labor to the nearby cemetery. Founded in 1860, the monastery now houses two small churches, the temple of Agios Nektarios and Saint Cyricus and Julitta, constructed in 1969, and the temple of Panagia Portaitissa with its sacred, miraculous icon, built in 1963!

Furthermore, the newly-built part of the monastery has a couple of dining areas, a cellar, and a cookhouse, while Agia Fotini is also a gorgeous stop for a photography session due to its beautiful surroundings and views.
