alexandratimothea 27 Jul 2020The beach in Kyra-Panagia is sublimeThe beach in Kyra-Panagia is sublime and one of the most beautiful spots in the Mediterranean. The waters are crystal clear with a gorgeous turquoise colour. It gets deep relatively fast but that’s part of its beauty. Karpathos is an island well-known for its wild beauty and if you cannot appreciate that, then it is not the place for you. But if you are keen to explore off the beaten track and discover a little bit of Greek paradise in the southeast Aegean, you will love Karpathos.

jckaay 19 Aug 2015Very cold water and extremely hot sandI loved Karpathos so much, but this beach was a disappointment for us. The road was partly good but the rest of it very curvy. When we finally got there, parking is tricky, and narrow. The sand is so hot it burns your feet through your shoes. The water is very cold and it gets deep almost immediately. It is very organized beach, it has studios, and restaurants, but it was really hot on the beach, even with an umbrella. For us, it was the worst beach and not worth visiting.
