The closest airport to Lefkada is the small airport of Aktion/Preveza, about 30 min drive away. This airport works only in summer and does not receive flights from Athens. However, Lefkada is connected by ferry with neighboring islands. In particular, there are ferries from Nydri, a fishing port in Lefkada, to Meganisi island 3-4 times per day. Also in summer, there are ferries from Vasiliki Lefkada to Frikes port in Ithaca and Fiscardo port in Kefalonia. These ferries between Lefkada, Kefalonia, and Ithaca are very convenient for tourists.
